One of the more popular of the Camellia. The Setsugekka is an evergreen upright formed shrub with single white flowers in late winter – early spring. A very strong growing Camellia. Ideal for hedges or specimen plantings. Good free draining soil is best. Frost and wind tolerant.
Enjoys part sun to shade. Moist soil with good drainage. Apply a mulch of chopped pine needles if desired to keep the soil acidic. Water regularly during the growing season. If pruning for a hedge to so after flowering.
Produces masses of delightful white flowers. Against the deep, green foliage.
